Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Fallacy Expert mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Fallacy Expert is an educational mobile application designed to help users learn about logical fallacies and improve critical thinking skills through interactive challenges, quizzes, and educational content. The app operates entirely on your device without requiring account creation.

License and Usage Rights

Subject to these Terms, SparkDart grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Fallacy Expert app for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes.

  • Educational activities and self-improvement
  • Using the app as a learning tool in educational settings
  • Accessing all features available in the free version

Prohibited Use

  • Circumventing or disabling app security features
  • Creating derivative works based on app content without permission
  • Attempting to manipulate or interfere with app advertisements

Educational Content and Intellectual Property

Content Ownership

  • All educational content, including text, images, exercises, and learning materials, is owned by SparkDart or licensed to us
  • The logical fallacy examples and educational frameworks are protected intellectual property
  • Your learning progress data remains on your device and belongs to you

Content Accuracy

  • We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about logical fallacies
  • Educational content is designed for learning purposes and may be simplified for accessibility
  • We welcome feedback on content accuracy and improvements

App Features and Functionality

Free App with Advertisements

  • Fallacy Expert is provided free of charge with advertising support
  • Advertisements are displayed through Google AdMob
  • Ad content is controlled by Google and may be targeted based on your device
  • We may offer premium options in the future to remove advertisements

Device-Based Storage

  • All your learning progress is stored locally on your device
  • Progress is not synchronized between devices
  • Uninstalling the app will permanently delete your progress
  • We do not have access to your individual learning data

User Conduct

When using Fallacy Expert, you agree to:

  • Use the App in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect the educational nature of the content
  • Provide honest feedback when requested
  • Not attempt to circumvent or disable advertisements
  • Not attempt to manipulate the learning system

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App. Since the app operates device-only, most of your data never leaves your device.

Service Availability and Updates

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available"

  • Users should be aware that uninstalling removes all progress data

Termination

Ending App Use

  • You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it
  • We may discontinue the app or specific features at our discretion
  • Upon discontinuation, your right to use the app ceases immediately

Effect of Termination

  • Uninstalling removes all locally stored learning progress
  • Previously completed learning achievements cannot be recovered
  • Any future premium purchases would be subject to their specific refund policies
